R!WC: How would you describe what you do?
Emily: I manage the shift, assisting my coworkers and customers with any needs!
R!WC: What is the best thing about your job?
Emily: Definitely the people, coworkers and customers(and the latte art)!
R!WC: What is the worst thing about the job?
Emily: When the cold brew or nitro keg tap out in the middle of a rush!
R!WC: Do you have a first memory of when coffee became something more important to you?
Emily: I have always LOVED coffee, but when I first started working a Camp Coffee my owner Jason was teaching me about pour overs. The dedication, time, and love that goes into every cup of coffee really just made me fall in love with coffee even more.
R!WC: What have you learned about life from working in coffee?
Emily: I have learned how to make relationships with people with only a few minutes!
R!WC: If you could share one piece of advice to a new barista, what would it be?
Emily: I would tell them to take their time, enjoy making every drink and to have fun!
R!WC: When you aren't at the coffee shop/roaster/etcetera, what are you doing in life? Who are you?
Emily: When I am not at my coffee shop, I am hanging out with my husband and my dog! I live a simple life! I love the outdoors, my friends, and reading!
R!WC: What is your favorite way to drink coffee?
Emily: When I'm at home, I like a pour over! At work, I opt for espresso.
R!WC: What is your favorite coffee drink to make?
Emily: My favorite drink it a flat white with some honey and cinnamon.
R!WC: Is there anything else you'd like the world to know?
