I ordered a flat white at a coffee shop here in Norwalk bordering santa fe springs (coffee code) expecting a 12oz cup like a starbucks flat white. To mg suprise it was small and I had to play it off like I knew what I ordered. It was served in a 8oz cup but total coffee must have been 4oz. I was thinking it was one part espresso to 2 parts milk. But I wasnt disappointed because for it being a small milk drink, it carried the majority of the nuances in their espresso. The milk was good enough to cut off some taste slightly, the drink was strong, and compared to a latte, I would think its more appropriate for a diabetic like myself. Im going to stick to their ratio for a flat white and use it moving forward in my espresso journey. Yum 😋.
